The Bowers and Wilkins CCM683 In Ceiling Speakers share much with their predecessor, the CCM682, though this model has a slightly lower maximum amp power at 130W. The CCM683 in ceiling speakers are a high performance ceiling-mount speaker that features a 200mm (8in) Kevlar® cone bass/midrange driver and an aluminium dome tweeter in a neat circular die-cast chassis. The Bowers & Wilkins CCM 683's 30mm coil and 100mm magnet ensure an incredibly efficient and reliable speaker with outstanding sound quality.
The aluminium tweeter's housing pivots for adjustable off-axis treble response. The CCM683 speakers also feature a three-position EQ switch for a better off-axis response. The bass/midrange driver's die-cast chassis provides extra rigidity which results in a cleaner, faster bass. The blue Kevlar® cone means that the unit is well hidden behind the grille but still produces a remarkably clear and dynamic sound. Incorporating QuickDogs™ and plug-and-play functionality it is quick and easy to install.

One step down from the 682 ceiling speaker, the 683 model is comparable to the 663 ceiling speaker with the added upgrade of an 8 inch driver to provide better bass. The CCM683 offers a slightly lower power handling to the 682 with a maximum amp power of 130W.
